Welcome home to Riverstone
Riverstone was established in 1803 as a government stock farm due to the abundance of water and good land suitable for grazing livestock. In 1810 Lieutenant-Colonel Maurice Charles O’Connell was given a grant of 2,500 acres of land in the district, which he named “Riverston Farm” after his birth place in Ireland.
The township of Riverstone is located 48 kilometres north-west of the Sydney Central Business District and is proudly one of the oldest towns in Australia entrenched in rich history.
